Our Projects

Research & Initiatives Supporting Seniors

Threestones Foundation supports a focused portfolio of projects that strengthen purpose, connection, and wellbeing for seniors. Our work brings together research, community engagement, and long-term partnerships to address key challenges associated with aging — from cognitive health and autonomy to social connection and dignity in later life.

Each project reflects our commitment to evidence-informed approaches and thoughtful collaboration with researchers, practitioners, and organisations working at the forefront of aging-related issues.

EANS Foundation Geneva

Threestones Foundation is in partnership with Professor Christian Schaller to advance research on fall-related brain injuries among seniors. This cross-disciplinary project combines data analysis, awareness campaigns, and community action to improve elderly care, prevent trauma, and promote ageing with dignity.

Through global collaboration between leading experts, the program prioritizes research with near-term clinical potential, driving innovation to change disease progression and transform lives.

Since 2020, the Threestones Foundation has supported Mente Locale in Biella, a welcoming space where seniors come together to stay active in mind, body, and spirit. Through movement, creativity, and friendship, the center helps people facing memory challenges — and those who simply wish to age well — feel connected and alive.

Emergency Covid Mask Supply

During the height of the COVID-19 crisis, we coordinated the urgent shipment of 50,000 surgical masks from trusted partners in Taiwan to Europe. Despite transport shutdowns and complex customs barriers, the Foundation successfully delivered this vital protection to care facilities in Italy, Germany, and Spain — supporting frontline staff and vulnerable seniors.

Led by Catherine Pastor and Professor Bruno Vellas, the event explored ageing through the concept of “intrinsic capacity,” emphasizing early detection, prevention, and collaboration to improve understanding and care to sufferers of this deadly disease.

Progetto Anziani

In collaboration with the Italian Consulate in Geneva, the Threestones Foundation helped distribute food vouchers to seniors facing financial hardship in the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, and Valais. The initiative reached hundreds of elderly people living alone, providing not only essential groceries but also dignity, comfort, and a renewed sense of community support.
